Our Vision

Quincy has a long history of producing talent. At one time there were a number of professional theaters Currently there is one outdoor theater owned by the city and dedicated to Ruth Gordon. Our vision is to provide opportunities for experienced Quincy area residents who wish to remain involved in theater at a local level and aspiring professional actors. Inspired by Ruth’s life work, Thalia Theater Troupe produces a mixture of original works, historical works, biographical works and popular works at various venues throughout the city, including the outdoor theater. Thalia Theater Troupe welcomes seasoned actors returning home and  aspiring actors from theater studies in the nearby high schools and colleges.
