from colonial to contemporary: a quincy celebration

Thalia Theater Troupe is teaming up with the Friends of Ruth Gordon Amphitheater to produce a day-long celebration of Quincy at Ruth Gordon Amphitheater and Pageant Field on September 13, 2025.

When we heard that Quincy was celebrating its 400th birthday we were pretty excited. When we heard about the plays and pageantry produced 100 years ago at Pageant field we were intrigued. The Friends of Ruth Gordon Amphitheater has been producing the very popular “Friend’s Fridays” for the last three years. What if we could put on a big celebration that combined the vision of 100 years ago with the community entertainment of “Friend’s Fridays”? So was born “From Colonial to Contemporary: A Quincy Celebration”.
